We CAN'T WAIT to meet you for an OUTDOOR YOGA class!
Our Outdoor Yoga class program launched in May as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and has been a great success!
These classes are suitable for all ability levels - from beginners to advanced to gentle practitioners! We don't want any of our yogis to miss this chance to come together as a community, so we'll make sure that these practices are accessible to everyone and include lots of options.
How does it work?
It's easy-peasy! Just sign up for class like you normally would, using MindBody! We'll send out an email on the morning of the day of class (or the night before, if it's a morning class) with all of the info you need for class. Then, just show up and practice! That's it!
What is the Outdoor Yoga Class schedule?
We will be holding 1-2 classes per week outdoors - typically, they will take place on Tuesday evenings and one other evening during the week. But this schedule is subject to change, as we continuously re-evaluate our programs and tweak them as necessary to meet your needs! The current schedule of outdoor classes will always be listed on MindBody
, along with our online classes.
Where are Outdoor Yoga Classes held?
Our beautiful outdoor practice location is in Tabernacle, New Jersey, not too far from the 70/206 circle. For privacy and security purposes, the address of our location will only be sent to those registered for class.
We will be practicing on a grassy surface under the trees, with plenty of shade - so don't let the heat keep you away!
In order to comply with Executive Order 148, yogis must remain outdoors at all times - unless there is an urgent need for the restroom.
Will there be health screenings?
We are requesting that yogis perform a self-assessment before coming to class. If you have any symptoms of illness (fever, cough, sore throat, sneezing, headache, body aches, upset stomach, etc.), have had a fever in excess of 99.9 during the past 48 hours or have been exposed to someone known or suspected to have COVID-19 within the last 14 days, please stay home and rest instead of coming to class. We really want to see you, but it's best that you take care of yourself to restore yourself to wellness first. We ask that you show respect and care for others by helping us reduce the risk of spreading illness.
What else do I need to know?
- Yogis are required to sanitize hands upon arrival for class. We provide hand sanitizer, Lysol spray and sanitizing wipes.
- Yogis must bring masks that cover the nose and mouth - they do not have to be worn during class, but must be available.
- Outdoor classes are BYO-Props! Please bring a mat, blocks, blanket, etc., as shared props will not be available.
- Please bring a filled water bottle.
- No physical contact is permitted, which means that we cannot offer hands-on assists right now.
- Depending on your personal preferences, you may wish to apply sunscreen and/or insect repellent before class.
- All yogis will be required to sign a new version of our release before class. All of our legal documents, procedures and protocols have been revised to reflect developments related to COVID-19, so we appreciate your cooperation.
- If you have traveled out of the US or to the states listed on the current NJ Travel Advisory List, please wait until you have quarantined at home for at least 14 days before you join us for an in-person class again.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What sanitization measures will be taken during class?
We provide plenty of hand sanitizer, Lysol spray and sanitizing wipes for our yogis' use at every class. Yogis also are asked to sanitize their hands upon arrival, before setting up.
What Social Distancing protocols will be observed?
Class sizes are strictly limited to ensure that we have sufficient space for everyone to practice safely. We use cute little flower pot markers to make sure that our yogis' mats are set-up 8 feet (2 feet more than required!) apart and yogis are expected to maintain at least 6-feet of distance from others at all times.
What if it's hot?
Unfortunately, we can't set Mother Nature's thermostat, but our practice space is in a large grassy area under the shade of the tree canopy. Thankfully, it stays a little more comfortable there than it would be out in the sun!
What if it rains?
Our Outdoor Yoga Classes are weather-dependent. In the event of inclement weather, we will make announcement if we are unable to go forward with class outdoors. The outdoor class will then be moved online (and yogis will receive the link for class via text and email approximately 20-30 mins prior to class).
Are there a lot of bugs?
Since we'll be practicing outside, it's always possible that Mother Nature's critters could pay us a visit! However, our practice space is not particularly buggy. We also treat our practice space with an all-natural, essential oil-based spray approximately 1 hour prior to class. This encourages bugs to stay away during our class, but doesn't harm them or us.
Can I bring my pet with me to class?
For several reasons, we are unable to accommodate these requests. Please let your pets rest at home while you practice!
Will Outdoor classes be streamed over Zoom, if I want to attend from home?
At this time, we are not equipped to broadcast our live classes over Zoom. These classes will be in-person only.
Can I pay my Drop-In fee for class in cash?
Right now, to help prevent against spread of COVID-19, we are only accepting online payments using credit/debit cards - payments must be made at the time you register for class.
