Are group classes not your style?   Do you have special concerns that are more appropriately handled on a one-on-one basis?  Would you prefer a yoga practice that is  designed specifically to help you reach your goals?                                                                                                     Then private sessions are for you!

If you are experiencing health issues or dealing with injuries, you will gain the most benefit from a yoga practice that is aimed exclusively toward addressing your unique issues and objectives.  You will receive your yoga teacher's undivided attention to ensure that your practice is safe (in light of your individual needs) and your teacher will be able to monitor your progress more closely (and make any necessary adjustments or changes to your planned practice) than is possible in a group class.  We have experience working with clients facing challenges associated with Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scoliosis, POTS, Fibromyalgia, dysautonomia disorders, chronic pain, rehabilitation from hip and knee replacements, back issues, mental health challenges and many more.

Some of our clients simply prefer the quiet solitude of a private practice session.  Regardless of how welcoming and nonjudgmental the environment, attending group classes can sometimes feel overwhelming or intimidating.  Giving yourself a space and time to practice, where/when you can minimize insecurities, anxiety and fear of judgment from others.  We hold sessions for individuals or semi-private sessions for small groups of family members or friends who wish to practice together, privately.  Most often, clients visit the studio for these sessions; alternatively, we sometimes travel clients' homes for sessions in order to assure that our clients feel at ease and comfortable during their practice.  Please understand that we are extremely cautious when sending our instructors to clients' homes; thus, decisions about in-home practice sessions are made on a case-by-case basis, to ensure the safety and well-being of our instructors.

Do your aspirations include working on specific asana, developing a more advanced practice, learning inversions or the like?  You, too, may be better equipped to accomplish your goals by working with a yoga instructor one-on-one.  The flow of a group class often makes "workshopping" specific poses difficult - but when you have the time to break them down and work side-by-side with an instructor who is able to assess your abilities, capitalize on your strengths and help you improve upon your weaknesses, meaningful progress toward your goals is inevitable!
